If you have not heard of the latest craze in the music industry, you are missing out. Turntable.fm is the latest craze in the Social Networking and Music Industry. Unfortunately if you are not already on it, Turntable is still in the beta phase and is invite only. Ask around on Facebook though because all you need is an invite on facebook from a friend.
You may be asking “What is Turntablefm?” Turntable is a website where you can share music with others, giving thumbs up on tracks you like and earning DJ points where you can win new avatars. If you don’t feel like being the DJ, you can simply sit back in a room while other DJs play their songs. It is also a way for bands and DJs to share their own music they’ve made with the community. Some of the notable members of Turntable are DJ Wooooo, 3LAU, PaperDiamond and many more.

This year my family decided to have a Best Drink Competition at Bass Lake this year. Given the fact that heat was a factor and the ability to be mobile with the ingredients determined which were our favorite drinks. It isn’t the easiest to carry around the ingredients for a Long Island Iced Tea on a boat, so these drinks had to be relatively easy to make.
You can never go wrong with good light beers on the lake. These are crucial in any occasion and especially crucial at the lake. We stocked up with (4) 30 Packs at the town before the Lake to save a bit of money and finished every last one of them.
As horrible as this drink sounds, I was very surprised by how delicious this drink was. It did help that I poured about 3 times the amount of liquor requested, but the flavors of the drink made it very refreshing and overall a great drink for the lake.
4 Cups Watermelon (Seeds removed)
1 Cup Citrus Smirnoff Vodka
1/2 Cup Triple Sec
2 Limes or an adequate amount of Lime Juice
1 Cup of Ice
1 Tablespoon Vodka
Instead of Ice, we froze the cut up watermelon chunks to give it a smoother flavor after all of these ingredients are blended up.

The John Daly is easily one of my favorite drinks in any occasion. It is a simple drink that tastes delicious and is great in the heat of the day.

One of my favorite drinks is the popular Mojito. The mojito does take a bit more work than some drinks, but it can be enjoyed in the heat of the day and no matter how much rum is added, it can always be masked by the strong taste of brown sugar and mint leaves.
